World Nomads Travel Insurance: If your America travels are taking you more than 100 miles from home, be sure you’ve got some solid travel insurance to cover your trip! I always choose WorldNomads.com to insure my trips because they allow you to buy and claim online, even after you’ve left home. World Nomads is designed for adventurous travelers with cover for medical, evacuation, baggage and a range of adventure sports and activities, too, making them the perfect choice to ensure all your America travels!
Osprey Farpoint 55 Travel Backpack: If you’re headed on USA tours, a multi-city road trip, or you’re planning to do some camping or backpacking during your America travels, this Osprey travel backpack is a must-have! This is my preferred backpacking pack whenever I travel because it comes with a detachable daypack with a laptop sleeve and it’s incredibly durable and comfortable. I cannot recommend this backpack more!
Quick Dry Travel Towel: By far the most useful item I can recommend for your America travels is a microfiber towel like this one! It’s lightweight, compact, and dries super fast, which makes it easy to toss in your suitcase for a weekend trip, perfect to throw in your daypack for a quick hike, and an awesome travel towel for a more comprehensive tour of the USA.

USA Travel Tips and FAQs
What currency is used in America?
How much should you tip in America?
Typically, it’s customary to tip 15-20% of your bill for the majority of service industries in the US.
What’s the fastest way to travel around America?
The quickest way to get around America is by flight. That said, for shorter distances driving, bus, and train can also be good options depending on where you’re located. Don’t forget your travel neck pillow, luggage tags, external battery charger, and TSA-Approved Toiletry Case!
What is the cheapest way to travel in the US?
NOT by flight! Flights around the US are typically quite expensive, so if you’re trying to save some money on your USA itinerary, your best bet will be to opt for trains, busses, or drive yourself. Greyhound busses or taking the Megabus are awesome options to get around the country cheaply, though it will take much longer than a flight.
Traveling Alone or Want to Join a Tour?
If you want to make the most of your America travels but aren’t sure how or don’t want to go alone, join one of many Intrepid Travel tours! They have lots of great tours that will take you through different parts of the country, and they work hard to give travelers the true local experience. I love Intrepid because they focus on sustainable travel, they’re affordable, they go all over, and they honestly put on a really great trip! Check them out for some awesome USA tours.
